Meet Our Orthopedic Surgeon

Dr Rory Lewis M.D. FAAOS

Dr. Lewis is a veteran of the United States Army. He served as a medic for thirteen years. He then enlisted again and then served two years in the US Army Reserves and then ten years in Active Duty-Medical Corps for the US Army. He obtained the rank of Major. Then he went to the US Army 81^st Airborne Division at Fort Bragg, North Carolina where he served as a Major Brigade Surgeon.

After serving three years at Fort Bragg Dr. Lewis started his practice in Mexia, Texas and then relocated to the nearby city of Killeen. He provided his Orthopedic services to the community there that focused on General Orthopedics and included treatment of chronic degenerative joint disease, sports injuries, acute injuries, arthroscopic surgery, joint arthroplasty, carpal tunnel and tennis elbow repair, tendon repair, fracture care, joint injections/aspiration, worker’s comp cases and VA subcontractor.

At the start of 2017, Dr. Lewis and his wife began to look at opportunities in Tennessee for Orthopedic Surgery. His two eldest twin daughters were relocating to Montgomery, Alabama and going to the University of Alabama and two other children were attending a boarding school in Nashville, TN. They wanted to be closer to them and found the perfect location within driving distance of their kids. After traveling and visiting Livingston they fell in love with the area and the people in the community.
